My yoga approach

I currently teach yoga that combines strengthening, balancing, and stretching exercises, with a focus on safety and detail. I also offer breath, meditation, and relaxation instruction in most classes and private sessions. My approach is a culmination of many years of teaching and training with various yoga and meditation teachers.

I have been trained by several well-known teachers, including Desiree Rumbaugh, Noah Maze, and Sally Kempton. Sally was a Western modern teacher of Hindu philosophy who passed away in 2023. Noah has a rich tradition of Ashtanga yoga and yoga philosophy, and I have incorporated his teachings into my own practice. Desiree has been a significant influence on my yoga practice and teaching, particularly in her work with older adults.

I have been practicing yoga for over 30 years and have experienced significant benefits from regular practice. Over the years, my needs and goals have changed, and I have adapted my practice and teaching to reflect this evolution. I believe in being mindful of the evolution of yoga and its applications in different contexts.

I am proud to be a yoga teacher who has had the opportunity to study with many influential teachers. I believe that open-mindedness and a willingness to learn are essential for any teacher or practitioner. I am grateful to share what has worked for me and others, and I invite you to explore my website for more information on my classes, private sessions, and teachings.
