My approach

My current approach to therapeutic massage and bodywork incorporates a range of techniques tailored to each patient's needs and responses. I recognize that individuals may believe they require one type of treatment while their bodies may signal a different need. My extensive background in yoga, meditation, and fitness allows me to teach clients about breath and body awareness during sessions and to suggest gentle stretching or strengthening exercises, always with sensitivity to their motivations, fears, and physical limitations.

I have extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, including Judith Walker Neuromuscular Therapy and John Barnes Myofascial Release. Additionally, I have coursework in John Upledger Cranial Sacral Therapy and other clinical techniques such as orthopedic and pregnancy massage. My foundational training began in 1992 with a 200-hour intensive massage therapy course at the Judy Philips School of Massage in Nevada City, CA, followed by completing the Missouri-required school of massage therapy at A Gathering Place in St. Louis County between 2015 and 2017, leading to my updated therapy license in 2017.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse environments, from gym settings and yoga studios to physical therapy offices and my own commercial space. My current practice is based in a center where multiple massage therapists and wellness professionals collaborate, providing individualized client care and fitness services.
